NCSA Welcomes Visitor from SARA

released October 19, 1999

Henk Ten Have, a researcher from Academic Computing Services Amsterdam (SARA), is spending this fall and early winter in Urbana-Champaign collaborating with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Have is investigating batch queuing systems and system monitoring software that interest both SARA and NCSA. He is also interested in general administrative operations at NCSA.

Have is working with Mike Pflugmacher, director of the High Performance Computing and Communications Systems Group. He will be with NCSA until Dec. 15. This visit is part of a new collaboration that began when John Towns, senior associate director for scientific computing at NCSA, visited Amsterdam in March 1999.
