NCSA UniTree Upgrade Announced and Information Tools Unveiled

MHPCC Announces New IBM RS/6000 SP Computer
MHPCC's new IBM SP is the 18th most powerful IBM SP in the world and the 2nd most powerful IBM SP in the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program. The P3 nodes, which feature IBM's latest Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP) technology, are deployed in two of MHPCC's IBM SP systems. §

End Search Engine Confusion
Learn more about search engines and decrease wasted time! A librarian at the University of South Carolina has prepared a 20-lesson course that explains one concept per chapter (e.g., the definition of meta-search engines, pros and cons of using one, examples) or gives a closer look at a particular search engine (e.g., HotBot). Each chapter takes a couple of minutes to read, getting you started in the right direction with a minimum of time and effort. §

EuroPVM/MPI'2000 Call for Papers
