SvPablo Tool Available at NCSA
SvPablo, a graphical source code browser for performance tuning and visualization, is now available on all major NCSA systems: IA-64/IA-32 Linux clusters and Origin2000. SvPablo represents the third generation of performance analysis tools developed by the Pablo research group at the Department of Computer Science, UIUC. It enables users to instrument sequential or parallel applications, written in C or Fortran, and then capture performance data during application execution. The performance information comprises counts, durations and, optionally, values from hardware performance counters obtained via the PAPI interface. After execution, users can browse the collected data with a GUI that is easy to use and provides a hierarchy of color-coded performance displays, including a high-level routine profile and source code scroll-boxes. SvPablo Version 5.1 is installed on the NCSA IA-32/IA-64 Linux clusters at /usr/apps/tools. For more information, users can contact consult@ncsa.uiuc.edu or the Pablo group directly.

AGDP is looking for willing hands
The Access Grid Documentation Project, the primary source for AG user documentation for roughly 16 months, has helped lots of people install and use AG nodes. Documents are created by and for the AG community, and that may include you. AGDP is always looking for more people to get involved in such ways as writing documents, testing step-by-step instructions, and helping with document format conversion.
