TeraGrid users encouraged to "think big" when submitting March allocations proposals
Submissions are now being accepted for the March LRAC and MRAC allocations meetings, with a deadline of January 26. TeraGrid resource partners estimate that there will be approximately three times as many CPU-hours available for award in March 2007 as there were in September 2006, as TACC's Track 2 system, Ranger, comes online in July and existing resources are greatly expanded.

Globus is Modular!

Software Releases

PerfSuite 0.6.2 Alpha 6
Developed using PAPI 3.5.0; contains bug fixes, new components and support for MD5 checksum generation, API/header file changes, new and changed options and environment variables, XML-related changes, and updates to the test suite and documentation.

PAPI 3.5
PAPI 3.5 adds support for Intel Core2Duo and brings support for IBM Blue Gene and Cray XT3 into compatibility with the rest of the PAPI world.

Condor 6.8.2 stable release
Based on the 6.7 development series, this stable release of Condor includes some incremental improvements and bug fixes. The 6.9.0 development release of Condor is also available.

LCI Conference Call for Papers
The 8th LCI International Conference on High-Performance Clustered Computing is organized by the Linux Clusters Institute (LCI) for users, administrators and developers of clustered computers for high-performance computing (HPC). The conference will be held in South Lake Tahoe, California, May 14-17, 2007. The deadline for submitting your paper abstract has been extended to January 15. IWOMP2007 Call for Papers
The 2007 International Workshop on OpenMP (IWOMP2007) is intended to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about OpenMP, to obtain practical experience, and to interact with OpenMP users and developers, as well as to serve as a forum for presenting research ideas and results related to OpenMP. Unpublished technical papers detailing innovative, original research and development related to OpenMP are solicited for submission by February 1, 2007. IWOMP will take place June 3-7 at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

TG'07 Call For Papers
TeraGrid'07: Broadening Participation in TeraGrid will encompass a broad range of topics from scientific impacts of TeraGrid-related work to TeraGrid and cyberinfrastructure technology development to TeraGrid-related education, outreach, and training efforts. The deadline for paper submission has been extended to February 8. TG'07 will take place June 4-7 in Madison, Wisconsin.

ASM 2006 Call For Papers
The 15th IASTED International Conference on Applied Simulation and Modelling (ASM 2006) provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experience in the areas of simulation and modeling and aims to strengthen relations between industry practitioners, research laboratories, and universities. The conference will be held June 26-28 in Rhodes, Greece. The deadline for paper submission has been extended to March 1.
