What is my UniTree login?

    Your UniTree login is the same as your NCSA production machine and/or staff login.

What is my UniTree password?

    UniTree uses Kerberos passwords, so your UniTree password is the same as your NCSA production machine and/or staff AFS password.

How can I change my UniTree password?

    You can change your password via a secure web page.

    Note: Since UniTree uses Kerberos passwords, the above command will change your password on all NCSA systems.

What is my UniTree quota?

    There are no UniTree quotas in place

What is the largest size file I can save in UniTree?

    There is no limit on the size of a UniTree file.

How long after my NCSA Production account has been deleted will my files stay in UniTree?

    You have read-only access to your UniTree account for 4 months after your last NCSA Production machine account has been deleted.

How can I access my UniTree account once my NCSA Production account has been deleted?

    You can access UniTree directly from your local computer using the kerberized ftp client to mss.ncsa.uiuc.edu. Information on downloading kerberos is available at the Installing Required Encryption Software page.
