Brief Description:

Pro/ENGINEER is an industry standard 3D mechanical design suite. The entire suite is based on a robust, parametric, feature-based modeler. Pro/ENGINEER provides an infrastructure for the design of solid and sheet metal components, building assemblies, weldments and producing fully documented production drawings.

 

Pro/Engineer is available to all NCSA academic users on the following system:

• IBM REGATA p690 (cu.ncsa.uiuc.edu) version 2001

 

Using Pro/Engineer:

• IBM P690
  Just type proe. Your DISPLAY variable must be set to your local machine.
  You must be added to the access list to use PRO/E.
  Pro/E 2001 Help files are installed and available under help menu.
  Since Pro/Engineer is an iteractive tool please note that interactive limits on
  on IBM p690 are 30min for CPU and 1Gb for RAM.
  All jobs that exceed these limits will be terminated. If you need interactive limit extension send an email to skoric@ncsa.uiuc.edu with a brief explanation.
