This is a transition workshop for users moving from the SGI Origin 2000 to the IBM p690. The workshop covers the p690 system architecture and features the differences in compilers, libraries, and the batch system to access software and hardware. The worshop format is lecture/discussion in the morning session and hands-on experience in the afternoon. A computer lab will be available for the hands-on session. If possible, please bring your own laptop for the hands-on session and indicate this on the registration form.

The intended audience includes users of NCSA supercomputers - students, postdoctoral staff, faculty, and staff. Priority will be given to current Origin 2000 users. Enrollment is limited.
